Cathodic Protection systems are buried in thousands of locations throughout the world. The warning tape is produced to alert unsuspecting construction workers to the presence of these systems. The warning tape is made from a low-density polyethylene plastic formulated for extended underground use. It is acid and alkali resistant and exhibits superior tensile strength. The warning legend is impregnated in the tape using a color fast, lead-free, organic pigment suitable for direct burial and prolonged exposure to the elements normally encountered in the earth.

 

The entire safety message is applied with black wording with the bright yellow background. The warning tape is easy to install. It is supplied in 100m per roll and durable enough to withstand severe elongation without breaking.

 

The underground warning tape is a warning to excavators. It is designed to disclose the precise location of buried piping and cathodic protection cable and components and is typically the last item to be installed in trench. The warning tape is commonly placed in the backfill above the cathodic protection cable.
