SOLID STATE
DECOUPLER (SSD)
GENERAL
The Solid-State Decoupler (SSD) is
designed to provide DC decoupling and AC continuity/ grounding simultaneously
when used with cathodically protected structures.
The SSD is now a popular choice
amongst other technologies such as polarization cell, metal oxide varistors,
and gapped arrestors with ratings for AC fault current and lightning, and the
abitlity to pass steady-state AC current.
TYPICAL
APPLICATION
-
Decoupling gradient control mats
from pipeline
-
Over voltage protection of
equipment
-
AC mitigation
-
Decoupling of disimiliar metals
that must be AC bonded for safety
RATING
