GENERAL
High purify zinc electrodes
can be used in saline water, or on land installations when packaged with
moisture retaining backfill. For off shore platform and jetty installations
blocks of zinc, with suitable mounts and cable, are manufactured.

PROBE TYPE ZINC REFERENCE
ELECTRODE
GENERAL
The pure zinc (Special High
Grade-99.99% pure) will have a potential to copper sulfate electrode reasonably
close to -1.1 volt in most soils. A pure zinc reference electrode can be used
effectively to avoid the contamination of the solution in a copper sulfate
electrode with change in its half cell potential that
cause by backflow of hydrostatic pressure (Because Zinc reference electrode do
not contain any porous plug and solution container). Therefore Zinc reference
electrode is commonly used inside internally protected steel water boxes,
tanks, pipes etc.
